hello, i want to generate an IFC out of the karamba model, how which file path should i put in the your component imput "filepath" . if i dont have an IFC i cant give a path of an IFC ? i dont understand this imput :D i tried it to just give a path to the folder i wand the ifc to be placed after the export but before the export the folder will be empty. the component gives an red error "system cant find the file..". please help
It's pretty hard to provide tech support through youTube comments. Please email or post to discourse.mcneel.com/c/plug-ins/geometrygym/65 You can right click on a grasshopper file path component and use the context menu "Select new file location". The input is a file path, not a folder.

also, my grids came but i can only see them if i maximize 3d extents and only for a brief fraction of a second - not sure where they are
From this sample model? Or a different model. It's best to email support at geometry gym if you have a problem so we can review it. Revit Lookup addin is also a useful way of interrogating Revit database if you can't review by schedule or similar (to find the location of the grid).

Does this live connection between rhino and revit stays when you close out revit and everything then reopen it again? Currently in Rhino inside when you close the revit the live connection will break and when you open it again and recompute, it will generate new geometry which is not very efficient when you need update your design. If you have annotation associated with the old geometry that means they all need to be deleted.
Yes, our developments manage a list of Unique Identifers within the grasshopper script, and this is stored as a publicly accessible parameter on the resultant Revit object. So out of session identification is provided. You can clear the parameter if you don't want the element updated. It's also possible to nominate a pool of unique identifiers within grasshopper, so the same components can be used on different parts of the same building. If you have problems or would like further info, let us know.
Hi - when i open Grasshopper from within Revit the Geometry Gym Revit components and ribbon are replaced with Rhino Inside components. I get a warning saying the GG install cannot be found. Any ideas?
Hi Eddo, I guess we should make one installer that covers Rhino6, RhinoWIP and say the last 3 versions of Revit. To get the GG Rhino Inside Revit Grasshopper components, make sure you have a recent ggRevitIfc installer for the version you're running. If you're having problems, you can contact us and we'll help troubleshoot.

Is there a way to create walls from the center lines instead of creating them from the edges? like in Autodesk Revit" location line"? 2. How can I make it possible to join adjacent walls, trim corners... 3. The one program of these we have access to right now is SAP2000. The free version of Rhino3d only allows you to save 25 times I read. Will you need to save the work in Rhino or is it enough to save in Grasshopper, which I understand is an add on to Rhino?
Looks awesome. Should be very useful for me and my friend writing a thesis about designing the most cost effective wooden truss for a 40 m span. In order to do this I need Rhino, Galapagos, Geometry Gym Connectors and SAP2000 i presume?
